My name is Matt Linser and I have been married to my beautiful wife Shannon for almost 18 years; we have three wonderful children. Bennett is 14, Silas is 11 and Eden is 7 and a half. I work at Candeo Church as part of the Community Ministry Team. I enjoy reading, coaching my kids’ sports teams and playing pickleball. 

I desire to serve as an elder because, personally, there is nothing more exhilarating, more worshipful and more life-giving than serving Jesus and loving his church in the same way that he loves me.

It has been my joy to serve at Candeo Church on the Community Ministry Team for the past year and a half! I believe God has given me a passion for people. I love sharing the gospel with them - both for new life and continued growth - every conversation is an opportunity to introduce/redirect the person in front of you to the most captivating and beautiful person in the universe, Jesus Christ. Eldership is the glorious task of shepherding God’s flock, which he purchased with his own blood. Often, I pray for our elders to be on guard for themselves and all the flock; to live above reproach and clothed in humility as they lead, protect, feed and care for God’s people.
