Alternatives Pregnancy Center

Alternatives Pregnancy Center exists to be a first stop for people facing an unplanned pregnancy, to hear the gospel, to address at-risk sexual behavior, and to help build healthy families.

Alternatives Pregnancy Center offers free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD testing, and an abortion reversal pill. Alternatives also offers parenting classes including topics of pregnancy, parenting, infant care, life skills, and more. After each class, parents get a free shopping experience in the store stocked with baby gear, maternity clothes, formula, and personal care items. 

Join Alternatives’ Mission by serving in any of the following ways:
- Receptionist (morning or afternoon)
- Client Advocate (female or male)
- Organizing warehouse donations
- Office cleaning
- Writing cards and giving gift cards to graduating participants

House of Hope

House of Hope is a Cedar Valley nonprofit dedicated to helping single mothers and young women aging out of foster care build safe, stable, and independent lives. Its mission is to break the cycles of poverty and homelessness by providing housing, individualized support, and opportunities for long-term self-sufficiency.

House of Hope provides transitional and temporary housing along with case management, financial education, employment support, childcare, wellness programming, life-skills education, and other resources. Through these programs, House of Hope works alongside women and their children to overcome barriers, build stability, and ultimately achieve permanent housing and independence.

- Receptionist (morning of afternoon)
- Providing Child Care, Wednesday nights
- Providing and Serving a Meal, Wednesday nights
- Apartment Turnover (cleaning and staging)
- Donate and/or sort home goods

LOVE INC

Love INC (In the Name of Christ) is a national organization that exists to mobilize local churches to transform lives in the community by meeting physical and financial needs and through Transformational Ministry Classes. Simply put, Love INC helps churches help people, typically those who are living in poverty. 

Different churches in the Cedar Valley provide different needs in the community like food and essential boxes, linens, gas cards, mattresses and more. People from different churches help teach and assist in teaching the Transformational Ministry Classes like Affirming Potential, Faith and Finance, Successful Living and more. Candeo is a host site for a School Supply Store and a Christmas Store.

- Receptionist (M-Th mornings) - take requests from clients
- Intake Volunteer (M-Th morning or afternoon) - help set up appointments for clients
- Begin Now Volunteer - meet clients in person at Tuesday night class
- Providing Child Care, Tuesday nights
- Providing and Serving a Meal, Tuesday nights
